physical health types and examples

Physical health has historically been characterized as the absence of sickness or major illness. Modern medicine, however, has altered this perspective recently. Beyond sickness and disease, the World Health Organization has broadened the notion of health. The complete physical, mental, and social well-being of an individual is currently how the WHO defines health. The health of an individual includes all of these factors because they are so closely related.

Physical and mental health are closely related to one another. A mentally unwell person is more likely to have chronic physical illnesses. Additionally, a higher likelihood of poor mental health is associated with persistent physical illnesses. This link between physical and mental health is also evident. All of the other aspects of health are related to physical health. When a person's physical health deteriorates, it frequently triggers a drop in the other areas as well. For instance, a person's social well-being may suffer if they are dealing with a significant disease. The individual may shy away from others due to contagiousness or just a diminished desire to be among people.

The relationship between physical health and the other aspects of well-being shows how important it is. There are several activities that one can engage in to maintain physical health. What are examples of physical health?

Physical health involves many aspects of life such as: sleeping well, eating well, being physically active, having good hygiene, and getting enough relaxation

Aerobic activities

Activities employing the body's powerful muscles are said to as aerobic. Examples of aerobic exercises include biking, swimming, running, and walking. Improved cardiovascular health and a reduced risk of various chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes and heart disease, are two benefits of aerobic exercise.

Muscle strengthening activities

Activities that build muscle, frequently incorporating resistance or weights. They demand the body to exert resistance to external force or weight. Exercises that build muscles include pushups, situps, squats, and weight training. Strength and muscle mass are maintained or increased through these exercises.
